Inbox Dollars is one of the top online rewards clubs.  It is free to join.  Its members make cash in several different ways.

InboxDollars: What makes it different?

Inbox Dollars has a few reasons why it stands out among its competition

  • It has a Gold Membership, which you automatically get placed into for free after you receive your first $30.00 check.  Gold Membership has several benefits.
    • Your checks can be processed on a weekly basis, rather than monthly.  If you meet the $30.00 threshold every week, then you can cash out every week.
    • More referral rewards - Each time a member joins Inbox Dollars without a referral, they are automatically placed in a pool of non-referred members. Your Gold Membership guarantees you a portion of these referrals.  You would earn the same amount you would on referrals you personally bring into Inbox Dollars.
    • Double Sweepstakes Entries - You will receive an additional entry into the sweepstakes you are entered in.  Your amount of entries will double.
    • Exclusive Monthly Offer - You will receive a different offer every month.  It usually is a discounted item, not available to regular members.
  • You get paid to read emails.  Every day, you will usually receive at least two paid emails.  They are quick and easy.  Each email is worth $.02.  All you have to do is read the emails, and then click “confirm”.  It will then take you to the page of the offer you confirmed.  Make sure you read the emails in a timely manner or they will expire, and you will not be able to earn credit for them.
  • You can start out with an easy $5.50.  You get paid $5.00 just to confirm your email.  You can also earn $.50 for filling out some information about your profile.
  • Inbox Dollars' parent company, CotterWeb Enterprises was named to Inc. Magazine’s 2011 list of 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the US.
InboxDollars vs. primary competitors (sites similar to InboxDollars)

Inbox Dollars competes with Swagbucks and Cash Crate.  All three companies have very similar free and trial offers.    With Inbox Dollars, you can earn in more ways from your referrals than you can with Swagbucks.  Swagbucks limits you to earning from your referral's search.  Inbox Dollars also gives you $5.00 just for confirming your email, which compares positively to Swagbucks.  However, it could take some people a while to reach the $30.00 minimum needed to cash out at Inbox Dollars.  A user can reach some of the "Swag Bucks" amounts a lot sooner, since there are many options to cash out their “Swag Bucks” which amount to less than $30.00.

Inbox Dollars has a higher incentive to join than Cash Crate does.  Cash Crate only gives you $1.00 after you confirm your email.  With Inbox Dollars, you have a chance to earn referrals as a Gold Member without referring people.  However, Cash Crate has a more attractive referral system.  You can earn 20% of your first tier referral's earnings and 10% of your second tier earnings (the people your referrals refer to Cash Crate. Cash Crate allows you to cash out at $20.00, which users can reach more quickly than they can on Inbox Dollars.  Cash Crate can lead to higher long term earnings.

InboxDollars: Pricing & packages

Inbox Dollars is free to join.  The only costs involved with Inbox Dollars are some of the products you would buy or try out.  Inbox Dollars does not charge you for the products.  Their affiliate companies charge you.  The same holds true for Swagbucks and Cash Crate.  The items you buy with the Coupons cost money as well.  For instance, you can save $.55 on Florida's Natural Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, which regularly runs anywhere from $3.00 to $3.99 depending on where you buy it.  One example of a trial offer, where you can earn $13.00 on Inbox Dollars, is where you sign up for a company called SavingsCircle at $4.95 for 30 days.  You can rack up further charges whether you are doing a paid or free trial if you choose not to cancel within the duration of the trial.

SwagBucks has the same exact coupons Inbox Dollars has through  You can earn 10 "Swag Bucks" for each coupon clipped and redeemed.  For the daily deals, one example would be to spend $15.00 and get $35.00 worth of premium coffee from Sweetwater Java.  In return, you also receive 86 "Swag Bucks".

Cash Crate gives you cash back on some of your shopping.  You can 3% cash back from shopping at Wal-Mart.  As an example of some of the offers you would get credited for, Cash Crate is offering $12.00 for you to try Profinity Credit Score for 14 days at $2.98.

InboxDollars: Customer reviews & comments

Inbox Dollars is well-known; therefore many customers have spoken about it.  Here are a few examples from

I have been doing the on-line "points/cash for surfing/surveys/purchase" thing for several years now and feel I can safely say this is the best time spent on the process.  No junk mail, high rewards for your time (this is a big one for me), and positively no need for customer service contact after two years - if you have any interaction with some of the "others" you may have noticed this is pretty much unheard of.

I have been a member of Inbox Dollars for several years. There are many ways that you can make money from this site. You can read e-mails, watch short trailers and answer questions, play games, join websites through them and be credited for the amount they offer and redeeming coupons. You select the coupons you want to print and then redeem them. It takes several months for your account to be credited but if you have patience, it will be. You receive a $5.00 sign-on bonus. In order to get money for your participation, there must be $30.00 available for redemption. It has been very difficult for me to get to that $30.00.

I have only been registered with Inboxdollars for three days. I have been very reluctant to try any of these online survey sites that "promise" that you will make money while just answering a few questions about everyday things. After some extensive research on their website I decided to give it a try. They started off by giving me a five dollar sign up bonus. I thought this was pretty cool. After I looked around the website for a little while I realized that in order to have a check sent to you, you would have to have at least thirty dollars in current earning. At that point I was a little disappointed thinking that it would take forever to make that much money. Now, three days later I have a total of twenty-two dollars.

Many people try to find free easy money by joining online websites to take surveys for money.  InboxDollars is a fantastic website that has exceeded my expectations for online survey taking

Great article! Voted up! :)

It does take a while to get to the $30 threshold. Earning is easy though. I would recommend it.

This is really great work.

Nice article with essential tips. Thanks Matthew. Voted. Please consider me.

What a scam! I spent a couple of years reading their paid emails only to be downgraded to weekly emails (because I was apparently not spending any money on their sponsors!) and then to no emails. At that point, I decided to cash out only to find out that in order to cash out you had to have an active account. That is an account where you are basically receiving the emails ... which I no longer was. (Un)helpful links showed me other ways to remain active (1, spend money; 2. complete surveys, etc.) so on my second request for a payout (on the same money) I decided to do a survey just before the pay out processing date so that my account would be active and my check processed. Any guesses as to whether I received a check? Nope. So, third try, I contact customer service directly to find out EXACTLY what I need to do to have an active account on the processing date so that I can receive a CHECK. I get the runaround with several responses to look at the (Un)helpful links I have already seen, and finally was referred on to some other department who is supposed to be helping me within 24-48 hours. I already know I'm not getting a check. I wasted my time. DON'T WASTE YOURS. This is a scam company, or as close to it as you can probably get without being sued.

“A great site to earn dollars”

I am a member of this site and I am very satisfied with their offers and surveys. They also pay for every emails read and the good thing is they send more than 5 emails each day. There are also some tasks to do and if one is so patient enough, a minimum cash out of $30 is easy to reach.
